About the Role

We're looking for a Lead Designer to join our team and drive the visual and interaction design strategy for our HR platform. In this role, you'll provide leadership and direction to the design team, establish design standards, and ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience across our products.

You'll collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership to align design vision with business goals and technical capabilities. This position is based in Europe, allowing you to work directly with our European design and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of product designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and growth opportunities
  • Establish and maintain design standards, patterns, and processes
  • Drive the evolution of our design system to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to set design strategy and priorities
  • Balance user needs with business goals and technical constraints
  • Oversee user research initiatives and incorporate findings into design decisions
  • Review design work and provide constructive feedback to improve quality
  • Present design vision and solutions to executive stakeholders
  • Stay current with industry trends and bring innovative ideas to the team
  • Foster a collaborative, creative, and inclusive design culture

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or similar roles
  • 3+ years of experience in a design leadership role
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating complex design challenges and solutions
  • Experience building and maintaining design systems at scale
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
  • Experience leading design for enterprise software or B2B SaaS products
  • Strong people management skills with a proven track record of developing designers
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align design decisions with business goals
  • Located in Europe for effective collaboration with our design and engineering teams
